When are you going to Dublin, Joli? Well I'm in uni once again and I've socialised myself into a position where I feel as utterly uncomfortable as I was the first week of university. I have not felt this alone in sometime, mind I was staying with people throughout the summer. I just hope I won't begin deluding myself with ideas of loftiness, of "I'm higher than the crowd", reading is helping me tame the ego. I digress! Been reading travel lit. Finished Christopher Isherwood's "Goodbye To Berlin", a diary of the writer's time in Germany during the 40s. Then Caryl Phillips' "The European Tribe", a racialist tour around Europe (the writer's black).
I've heard Belfast is a scary place, Vinny. just remember the magic words, "William the Orange who?". How's it coming with things of the taste-neutral variety?
Isn't it surprising that I can recite the lyrics of "Jabberwocky" pretty well, but can't remember how I felt an hour ago? Fuck! I'm growing senile and evasive.
