those are tall orders, but not not do-able. Apparently, in Haiti there was a man named Toussaint L'ouverture, who opposed colonists. Very viciously leader type guy. Effectively, it was the only country to successfully dispose of colonial rule, well to an extent to kickstart the decolonisation of the country. cf. Black Jacobins and such.
