Australia doesn't have nukes. Some time ago we signed a non proliferation treaty. Australia is the most middle of middle powers on the earth. I read an article awhile ago that suggests it's the middle countries that count in international politics, but I'm not sure. I also read an article last week that said something along the lines of Australia could be the most powerful nation in the world. I don't remember off the top of my head what the reasoning behind that was, but I remember thinking 'that is definetely plausible.'
